From July 1st 2008 any business working within the personal injury sector and representing clients must have adequate professional indemnity insurance in place.
Subject to approval by Parliament, this legal requirement will apply to anyone representing a client by means of making an allegation, submission (either by argument or evidence) or any other representations on behalf of a client to an insurer or other organisation in relation to a claim.
At time of writing 1st Claims have held professional indemnity insurance for over twelve months.
